AI-Powered Centralized Automated Command and Control Centre.

An integral component of contemporary transportation systems is traffic management. Traffic Command and Control Centres assist in discovering, capturing, and minimizing numerous traffic offences as well as other crimes generally.

The Challenge

To offer enforcement services and reduce the number of police officers needed on the street, a traffic monitoring and surveillance system with real-time feed information was required.

Solution Provided

Datacorp Traffic has developed an AI-Powered CentralizedAutomated Command and Control Centre to assist authorities incapturing live video feeds from all the cameras located across thecity.This system automatically scans and captures vehicleregistration plates while continuously processing the data fromnumerous cameras using computer vision and machine learning algorithms. Additionally, the same data is simultaneously cross-checked against the Police Department's Red-listed vehicle registration plate database (Stolen, Enforcement, etc.), to which instant alerts are raised to the Control Centre and notifications aresent to the respective authorities by SMS or Email.

Upgradation

The Surveillance System of DC is being upgraded to include new video analytic capabilities utilizing existing infrastructure. The Vahan/Sarthi database will be integrated with a centralized surveillance system to extract vehicle owner information andgenerate E-challans for any type of traffic violation, such as; notwearing a seatbelt, triple riding, and No helmet, which will be automatically detected by processing the video streams from existing cameras. To further strengthen Police authority's capabilities, AI-based elements like facial recognition and crowd analysis will be included within Traffic Law Enforcement.
