Our Chairman, Mr. T. Balasundaram is a living legend and a paradigm of these lines.
He is best known as a positive, inspiring, hardworking, honest, truthful, trustworthy and pious but fearless personality. He is a man with principles, integrity, a man of words and a great Philanthropist. His never give-up attitude makes him a great man and our true Godfather.
Started at a young age of 16 in 1958, he still goes on with full throttle at 78 years and will never retire. His career is deep and inspirational. He joined his father’s business Sundaram Industries in a small town called Kovilpatti, trading Electrical line materials to the Electricity Board.
In 1964, he moved to Bangalore looking for new business opportunities. He started trading gunny bags where he literally lost everything he had, but not the hopes and positive spirit. He then started recycling Industrial metal wastes. He established himself in this business and soon started diversifying.
He ventured into paints, the restaurant and lodging businesses. In 1973, he was introduced into mineral oils and this resulted in incorporating Petrofield Corporation and Petrochem Industries. These industries manufactured automobile grade greases and produced wax. In the 1980s, he started working closely with the match industries supplying them with wax and explosive chemicals.
In the 90s, he set his footprint in recycling large transformers from across the country. In the millennium, he expanded his business internationally in countries like Srilanka, Singapore, Maldives, several countries of the Middle East and Africa. He also has setup a factory that does Transformer electrical stampings. He is recently involved in building a block of residential apartments and wants to make his presence in the real estate business. Through this journey he has created several leaders in the business and made them self-sustainable.
As he marked 50 years of his entrepreneurship, in 2008 when Madhu and Senthil came up with a Business plan for DataCorp, he was the first person to appreciate, provide guidance, lay the road map, offer moral & key financial support and even the first office space. With his vast experience across several fields and learnings from his personal ups and downs, he brings immense value to the Board. He is an integral part of all strategic planning and key decision making at DataCorp Traffic. His will for nurturing talents and creating leaders has led to the current strong Leadership Team at DataCorp Traffic. His contributions to DataCorp Traffic are limitless.

A strong administrator and a risk taker with a can-do attitude; started career with the world’s most admired company, General Electric; brought several values from there; founded a company that is unique in its services; expanded aggressively across nations; acquired all the necessary skills and international experience in the field of Transportation Data Collection and Analytics; quick to identify the gaps and strategically build multiple business verticals; now owns a company with over 1000 employees/trainees, servicing clients across five continents. Is an aggressive and successful entrepreneur.
She holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from VTU, India and has learning interests in the Transportation industry. She has attended the PTRC’s Principles of Transport Planning sessions at London in 2017-18. She is also Six Sigma Green belt certified. To keep up with the advancements in the industry, she is an active participant in many Transportation industry forums and exhibitions across the globe.
She received the Economic Times 2019 award for “Excellence in Women Entrepreneurship for building a SME with global footprint.” She has been featured in many newspapers and technical magazines for her entrepreneurship, technical expertise and woman empowerment.
Her risk-taking personality has always enabled the organisation to easily step out of the comfort-zone with confidence. This has helped the leadership team see things differently, adapt to newer ways of doing things and leap into novel opportunities. She is the major force responsible for the organizational growth in five continents and the expansion of multiple business verticals within the group.

A Visionary, a Passionate leader, a successful Entrepreneur and a Transport Planning Professional; has transformed a Business idea into a start-up and then grown it to become a global market leader; has proven track record of continuous year-after year growth in terms of revenue and profits; successfully taken the business to 26 countries across the globe.
With over a decade experience in Transportation Data Collection, has extensive knowledge of newer technologies and methodologies. His Transport Planning background, UK work experience and strong Business acumen allows him to build multiple business verticals and manage the markets across five continents. Is Customer focussed and performance driven.
He has a strong academic background with a deep passion for continuous learning. He holds a Master of Science degree in Transport Planning and Management from the University of Westminster, London; Business Administration from University of Bolton, UK; Master of Technology from VTU, India and Bachelor of Engineering from University of Madras, India.
His core competencies are International Business Development; Strategic planning and execution; Mergers and Acquisitions; Customer satisfaction and allegiance; Market Leadership; Performance and Quality standards. He is very keen in employee growth and development within the organisation.

Director - InnovationsSenturan Karthikeyan
A techie at the core; has built software for a wide range of platforms – from big Mainframes to mobile phones; Honed his skills at India’s largest software company before joining DataCorp Traffic; Has built the R&D team in DataCorp from scratch; is passionate about in-house development of solutions; was smitten by the magic of software at a very young age and believes it can do everything; Started out building utility apps while in high-school and now works on AI, Machine learning and Data Analytics.
He holds an Engineering degree in Electronics & Communication and is equally versatile in Hardware. He is certified in various software technologies and has won accolades for the technical designs he has provided.
He is the Director – Innovations, heading the R&D team, the camera and hardware design team which builds the products used by the Site Operations team. He is an innovator and has automated and optimized various processes in DataCorp Traffic. Holds a patent for developing a novel way to count videos which has improved the turnaround times significantly. A people’s person who believes in the power of teamwork. He has mentored over 100 young professionals in his career, loves the challenge in building a team from the ground.

Director - Projects & Data Protection OfficerArun P Babu
A task oriented, process driven personality with strong Project management expertise in the leadership team; Constantly defines the structures and sets process oriented goals and formulates plans to achieve them; With over 18 years of experience in Project Management, provides strategic support for ensuring operational efficiency, costing and budgeting; Also creates the right conditions for the continuous improvement of the entire project management system.
He holds a Masters’ Degree in Management. He is a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) from PMI, Certified Data Protection Officer (DPO) from PECB, Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and a Risk Management Professional.
His strengths assist in the overall project management controlling, including Quality management and Data Security/ Data Privacy management and the maintenance of project management systems for the entire organisation. He also leads the Compliance and IT functions and is responsible for overseeing a company’s data protection strategy and its implementation to ensure compliance with GDPR requirements, with overarching responsibility for all of the ISMS.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer science and Engineering from Anna University, India. He also studied for his master’s degree at Napier University, Edinburgh. He has a strong passion for Operations Management and its principles. He is now registered for the Prince 2 Project Management certification.
He developed competence in Team Building & Supervision, Analytical Problem Solving, Training and Development, People Management, Project Management and Process Development & Implementation. These have become his core strengths and his contribution to the organisational growth is immense.
Director- Planning And AdvisoryAnand Shankar
A Transport Planner by profession; having 30 plus years of association and experience in Urban Transport Sector; has a Master’s Degree in Transportation Engineering. Worked in an UK offshore GDC environment and also on various domestic and international greenfield and brownfield projects, funded by various Government departments/funding agencies like World Bank and ADB; He has lead the team as a Practice Manager responsible for business, talent building & development and team’s operation. Held key responsibilities for project delivery and has been Project Manager and Team Leader on various traffic engineering, transport planning and road projects.
His main domain is in urban transport sector on various aspects such as preparation of city mobility plans, modelling, integrated public transport plans, multi modal integration plans, parking policies and master plan, urban junction designs, NMT- pedestrian accessibility studies, preparation of feasibility reports and DPRs of urban transport projects including financial and economic analysis and in transaction advisory.
Working closely with the development authorities, public and private sector clients and conceptualising / converting their ideas and visions into projects is an area of interest. Project management & implementation are key skills.
His core technical skills and experience are unique and is a pillar of strength to the company in its vision of expanding into the Advisory Services and building an offshore Design Centre. He manages the overall advisory services including data collection, the planning and modelling sector; its business expansion from project initiation to execution, and responsible for providing valuable suggestions for strategic growth to the firm and the sector.
Director, Business Development - EU & AfricaKevin Martin
Kevin has over 25 years of specialist experience in the field of Transport data collection, analytics and consultancy services. He was responsible for the London office of the UK’s largest Transport data, analytics and consultancy services company to offer innovative techniques to all within and outside the UK.
20 years of living and working in a big busy metropolis like London has given him greater insight and understanding of the Transport Planning sector, together with many years of travel and working/living abroad. He has lived in the UK, South Africa, Spain and Germany, where he advised the team of a German Transport Data Analysis company.
His substantial experience, skills and proven abilities mean that Transport Planners/Engineers around the world can be confident that the data and services provided by the company, can be used to design and build modern efficient Transport systems to improve the everyday lives of people around the world.
Kevin constantly keeps an eye toward building on what works and changing what doesn’t. He now lives in Germany and his key role is to identify and develop new business opportunities in the UK, European Union and Africa.

Prasad is a seasoned Strategy & Change leader with a distinguished career spanning over three decades across multiple industries and cultures. His expertise lies in navigating complex business transformations—driving rapid growth, turnarounds, and post-merger integrations. Whether in family businesses, board-managed companies, billion-dollar enterprises, or SMEs, the common thread in his work has been transformation.
A Fellow Life Member of the Institute of Directors (F.IOD), India, Prasad is also a Certified Independent Director under the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA), Ministry of Corporate Affairs, India.
Throughout his career, he has worked closely with Investors, Boards, and senior leadership teams, shaping business strategy and organizational development. His corporate tenure includes serving as Chief Commercial Officer for an international airport in the Maldives, managing complex stakeholder relationships, and holding P&L responsibility as Chief Operating Officer of a specialist machine tool manufacturing business.
Since 2013, Prasad has been an independent consultant, advising boards of listed, privately held, and public sector companies worldwide on strategy and organizational development. He has been an empanelled Assessor, Coach & Facilitator with Aon Consulting and Ernst & Young, specializing in leadership development and succession planning. Over the past decade, he has conducted hundreds of leadership assessments, including CEO selections.
Prasad is an AON-certified ADEPT Personality Assessor, a Certified Cognitive Skill Assessor and Trainer (LearningRx, USA), and a Large Group Facilitator in strategy and change, trained by the Institute of Cultural Affairs, Australia.
An Electrical Engineer with a Postgraduate degree in Business Administration, Prasad’s passion extends beyond boardrooms—he is also a pianist and guitarist, finding harmony in both leadership and music.

A seasoned finance leader with over four decades of diverse experience, Vaidyanathan R K brings deep expertise in Finance, Accounts, & Administration functions across reputed multinational companies. His career spans global corporations from Germany, Japan, the UK, and the US, where he has played a pivotal role in building operations from the ground up and aligning financial strategy with long-term business goals.
With a strong command over financial governance and operational efficiency, he has led the implementation of enterprise systems like SAP R3 and SAP B1, established statutory frameworks, streamlined internal processes, and built finance functions from scratch. His hands-on leadership and strategic foresight have helped organizations navigate complex audits, optimize resource planning, and ensure long-term compliance.
His core strengths include financial planning, system implementation, statutory compliance, process optimization, international financing, and executive leadership in dynamic business environments.
